Truefinish Monterey Epoxy FlooringTruefinish Monterey Epoxy Flooring

Flooring contractor in Monterey, CA, since 2013

We're a licensed and insured crew that grinds, coats, polishes and seals concrete, from home garages, basements and patios to shop floors that take a beating.

Dark gray speckled flooring covers a restroom with beige stall partitions, a floor drain, and white sink counters.

How I came to coating concrete floors

I got into this trade as a helper on a small concrete coating crew, hauling grinders and mixing buckets, and I learned the work from people who'd been doing it for years. I started this business here in Monterey in 2013, and we've become best known for coatings over concrete that's been prepped right.

Most of our calls are homeowners with a garage, basement or patio, and business owners who need a floor that can handle forklifts, carts and whatever else gets dropped on it. Prep comes first for me on every one of those jobs, because most floors I've seen peel or bubble were rushed before the first coat went on. You'll find everything we do on our home page.

What you get when we do your floor

Time spent on the slab first

We spend the real time on the part you can't see, grinding and testing the slab before any coating goes down, because that's what decides whether the floor holds up.

One person from estimate to finish

I'm the one who looks at your floor, answers your calls and checks on the job, so nothing you tell me at the estimate gets lost before our crew shows up.

Plain talk about your options

I'll explain epoxy or polyaspartic, film sealer or penetrating, in plain words, so you pick what fits how you use the space, and if the simpler option suits you better, I'll say so.

How a flooring job with us goes

  1. Call or send the form

Call (831) 204-4420 or use the form on our contact page, and tell us about the floor and how you use it. We reply within one business day to set a time to come out.

  2. I come look at the floor

I come out myself to look at the floor, measure it and test the slab, because what's going on in the concrete decides what it can take. You get the estimate in writing, free and obligation-free.

  3. Our crew does the work

If the job might need a permit, we check with the city or county building office first and handle the paperwork with you. Then our crew does the work, my lead installer runs it, and I check in on site.
